Michelle Tran is an Edmonton, AB - based artist, and has studied animation, film production, art and design. She has a Bachelors of Fine Art with a major of Art and Design and a Graduate Degree in Computer Animation from Sheridan College.She works in many mediums but specifically, she focuses on animation for film and her design work is illustrative with an emphasis on story-telling. She strives for creative career pathways that allow her to express narratives through art and technology.Passionate about design and animation from a young age, she has been recognized for her contributions in the creative community. As her work has been displayed at the festivals, universities, and galleries. She has also gained recognition through awards during her academic and professional career. This includes the Alberta Media Arts Award and Best Animated Short for her film “Love at First Light” (2024).She is an enthusiastic heart with a versatile range of styles, ready to set her hands on as many new projects she can take. Her works have included game design, film animation, painting, illustration, sculpture, graphic design, and more to continually grow.
